With every 250 g bag you purchase, 87¢ goes directly to our Coffee Development Fund, supporting young and women coffee farmers in Colombia through education, fair pay, and sustainable practices.

About Our Brand

What does 87plus mean?
In the world of specialty coffee, quality is measured on a scale from 0 to 100 by certified Q-graders. Coffees that score above 80 are considered specialty. At 87plus, we go beyond — bringing you coffees that consistently score above 84 points. This means exceptional quality, complex flavors, and a cup that stands out from the everyday.

And what is a Yipao?
The Yipao is a cultural symbol of Colombia’s coffee-growing region. It refers to the colorful Jeep Willys, once used to transport coffee beans, goods, and even entire families across the steep mountains of the Andes. Today, the Yipao represents tradition, resilience, and celebration in Colombian coffee culture. At 87plus, it is part of our identity — a reminder of where our sustainable coffee comes from and the people who make it possible.
